Chaque canton d\u00e9finit ainsi ses propres r\u00e8gles pour l\u2019exploration, l\u2019utilisation et l\u2019exploitation de la g\u00e9othermie et des autres ressources du sous-sol.<\/p>\n<p>Plusieurs cantons disposent d\u2019une l\u00e9gislation sp\u00e9cifique. \u00c0 Gen\u00e8ve, la <em>Loi sur les ressources du sous-sol (LRSS)<\/em> encadre l\u2019exploration et l\u2019exploitation de la g\u00e9othermie et des eaux souterraines. Dans le canton de Vaud, la <em>Loi sur les ressources naturelles du sous-sol (LRNSS)<\/em>, compl\u00e9t\u00e9e par la <em>Loi sur le cadastre g\u00e9ologique (LCG)<\/em>, fixe les bases pour la gestion et la connaissance du sous-sol. \u00c0 Zurich, l\u2019utilisation du sous-sol est r\u00e9gie par le <em>Gesetz \u00fcber die Nutzung des Untergrundes (GNU)<\/em>. Dans le canton de Berne, la <em>Loi sur la r\u00e9gale des mines et l\u2019usage privatif du sous-sol public (LRMU, RSB 931.1<\/em>) fixe les principes d\u2019utilisation du sous-sol public et des ressources min\u00e9rales.<\/p>\n<p>Par ailleurs, la l\u00e9gislation f\u00e9d\u00e9rale \u2014 notamment la Loi sur la protection des eaux (LEaux) et son ordonnance \u2014 garantit une protection uniforme des nappes phr\u00e9atiques dans toute la Suisse.
