Pour concr\u00e9tiser ses ambitions \u00e9cologiques, la Ville de Lausanne est en train de construire des quartiers compatibles avec les principes de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 2000 watts (puissance consomm\u00e9e par personne). Pour atteindre cet objectif ambitieux, le concept pr\u00e9voit non seulement des moyens de transport, des appareils et des comportements tr\u00e8s efficients mais \u00e9galement un recours accru aux \u00e9nergies renouvelables. Ainsi, pour chauffer ces nouveaux quartiers, la g\u00e9othermie de moyenne profondeur avec des sondes g\u00e9othermiques \u00e0 800 m\u00e8tres est la solution la plus ad\u00e9quate.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A l’instar de G\u00e9othermie 2020, le programme de d\u00e9veloppement de la g\u00e9othermie du canton de Gen\u00e8ve, Lausanne proc\u00e8de \u00e9galement par \u00e9tapes: am\u00e9lioration de la connaissance de son sous-sol par des campagnes d’exploration g\u00e9ophysiques, projets-pilotes et r\u00e9alisation de sondes g\u00e9othermiques \u00e0 800 m\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n

Projet-pilote Sirius
\n<\/strong>En 2014, dans le cadre du projet pilote Sirius, huit sondes g\u00e9othermiques \u00e0 500 m de profondeur chacune ont \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9es pour procurer chauffage et eau chaude sanitaire \u00e0 104 logements, r\u00e9partis dans quatre immeubles construits \u00e0 l\u2019angle de l\u2019avenue de Morges et de la rue Couchirard. Assist\u00e9es par des pompes \u00e0 chaleur, ces sondes fournissent \u00a0environ 500 MWh\/an de chaleur et des panneaux solaires thermiques assurent 30% de la production d’eau chaude sanitaire (ECS).<\/p>\n

Par rapport \u00e0 un champ de sondes usuel \u00e0 moindre profondeur, l’avantage de ce type de projet est de s\u2019adapter parfaitement \u00e0 la densit\u00e9 du milieu urbain. Un allongement de la profondeur des sondes permet en effet de diminuer leur nombre, plus int\u00e9ressant dans un milieu urbain d\u00e9j\u00e0 fortement construit. Dans le cadre du projet Sirius, les Services industriels de Lausanne (SiL) ont de plus opt\u00e9, avec succ\u00e8s, pour une technique de forage habituellement utilis\u00e9e pour des sondes \u00e0 200 m\u00e8tres, permettant ainsi de r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts de forage.<\/p>\n

Projet des Plaines-du-Loup
\n<\/strong>Sur la base de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience acquise dans le cadre du projet Sirius, un second projet-pilote a d\u00e9but\u00e9 en 2014 aux Plaines-du-Loup. Les SiL ont install\u00e9 une sonde g\u00e9othermique test de 800 m de profondeur afin de v\u00e9rifier les conditions du sous-sol et pouvoir dimensionner le champ de sondes du futur \u00e9coquartier. Les r\u00e9sultats de performance d\u00e9montrent un rendement sup\u00e9rieur de 20 \u00e0 30% par rapport \u00e0 des forages standard \u00e0 200 m\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n

Le site des Plaines-du-Loup accueillera, sur une surface d\u02bcenviron 30\u00a0hectares, un v\u00e9ritable morceau de ville comprenant environ 11’000\u00a0habitants\/emplois, des espaces verts, ainsi que des installations sportives de proximit\u00e9: tennis, patinoire et terrains de sport. Pour chauffer ce futur \u00e9coquartier, en limitant le nombre de sondes sur ce terrain relativement restreint par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019ampleur du projet, il est pr\u00e9vu de placer 35 sondes g\u00e9othermiques \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 800 m de profondeur coupl\u00e9es \u00e0 des pompes \u00e0 chaleur. Les travaux de forages devraient d\u00e9buter fin 2018. Les sondes g\u00e9othermiques install\u00e9es seront de type coaxial, cette g\u00e9om\u00e9trie \u00e9tant en effet plus adapt\u00e9e pour extraire la chaleur du sous-sol de moyenne profondeur. La g\u00e9othermie et la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration de la chaleur des eaux us\u00e9es assureront la production de chaleur pour ce quartier 100 % renouvelable.<\/p>\n

Mieux conna\u00eetre le sous-sol
\n<\/strong>Apr\u00e8s les projets de sondes \u00e0 moyenne profondeur, la Ville de Lausanne pr\u00e9voit de recourir \u00e0 l’hydrothermalisme pour produire du chauffage. Cette technologie utilise la chaleur contenue dans l’eau souterraine. Une bonne connaissance du sous-sol et de sa g\u00e9ologie est essentielle pour identifier les cibles potentielles d’une exploitation g\u00e9othermique de moyenne profondeur et maximiser ses chances de succ\u00e8s. Les Services industriels de Lausanne ont donc proc\u00e9d\u00e9 en juillet 2016 et ao\u00fbt 2018 \u00e0 des campagnes de prospection g\u00e9ophysiques. Les r\u00e9sultats permettent d’obtenir une cartographie du sous-sol. Sur cette base, plusieurs sites potentiels ont \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9s. Il s’agit maintenant de d\u00e9finir lequel sera utilis\u00e9 pour proc\u00e9der \u00e0 un forage exploratoire qui permettra de valider,\u00a0localement du moins, le mod\u00e8le g\u00e9ophysique et v\u00e9rifier les d\u00e9bits et temp\u00e9ratures estim\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Enfin, les SiL participent \u00e9galement au projet AGEPP<\/span><\/a> \u00e0 Lavey, premier projet suisse de g\u00e9othermie hydrothermale visant \u00e0 produire \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et chaleur.<\/p>\n
