Le territoire bordelais a la chance de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de ressources g\u00e9othermiques. Pas moins de 7 projets ont \u00e9t\u00e9 conduits dans les ann\u00e9es 1980 \u00e0 partir de forages r\u00e9alis\u00e9s \u00e0 environ 800m de profondeur, dans la nappe du c\u00e9nomanien o\u00f9 l\u2019eau \u00e0 45\u00b0C est abondante. 4 d\u2019entre eux sont toujours en exploitation aujourd\u2019hui. <\/strong>Depuis plus de 30 ans, aucun autre forage n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9, sous le double effet du rench\u00e9rissement des co\u00fbts et de la fin des op\u00e9rations de grands ensembles urbains qui avaient port\u00e9 la plupart des projets. Au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2010, avec la prise de conscience des enjeux climatiques et la forte dynamique urbaine locale, Bordeaux M\u00e9tropole a souhait\u00e9 multiplier les r\u00e9seaux de chaleur et mieux valoriser ses ressources g\u00e9othermiques. Avec le soutien de l\u2019ADEME (Agence de l’Environnement et de la Ma\u00eetrise de l’Energie) et du BRGM (Bureau de Recherches G\u00e9ologiques et Mini\u00e8res), elle a d\u2019abord r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une \u00e9valuation compl\u00e8te du potentiel g\u00e9othermique de son sous-sol. Ce travail a mis en \u00e9vidence l\u2019existence d\u2019un r\u00e9servoir prometteur, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 1700m de profondeur o\u00f9 l\u2019eau est \u00e0 70\u00b0C.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pour exploiter cette importante quantit\u00e9 de chaleur et amortir financi\u00e8rement le co\u00fbt \u00e9lev\u00e9 des forages, il faut chauffer l\u2019\u00e9quivalent de 25.000 logements. Bordeaux M\u00e9tropole a donc d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de cr\u00e9er un r\u00e9seau de chaleur de 25 km, aliment\u00e9 par un doublet g\u00e9othermique \u00e0 1700m, pour chauffer l\u2019ensemble des projets urbains de la Plaine de Garonne qui repr\u00e9senteront 2.000.000 m2<\/sup> neufs, face au centre historique.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Cependant, il a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9fini que ce projet g\u00e9othermique comportait des risques techniques importants en raison de la m\u00e9connaissance de ce r\u00e9servoir datant de la p\u00e9riode g\u00e9ologique du jurassique, couramment utilis\u00e9 dans le bassin parisien mais encore jamais explor\u00e9 sur Bordeaux: quelle est la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019eau que l\u2019on pourra r\u00e9ellement extraire? Sera-t-elle suffisante pour chauffer tous ces b\u00e2timents? Les failles encore mal connues menacent-elles la faisabilit\u00e9 des forages? La seule fa\u00e7on de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces questions est de r\u00e9aliser des forages.<\/p>\n

Parce que l\u2019enjeu \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et environnemental de ce test est important, l\u2019ADEME<\/span><\/a> a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019accompagner le projet en couvrant financi\u00e8rement \u00e0 hauteur de 90% le risque d\u2019\u00e9chec sur les forages. Bordeaux M\u00e9tropole a confi\u00e9 la r\u00e9alisation du projet au groupement d\u2019entreprises Cofely-Storengy, filiales du groupe Engie, via un contrat de d\u00e9l\u00e9gation de service public.<\/p>\n

Les risques d\u2019\u00e9checs \u00e9tant r\u00e9els, ce contrat les prend en compte en d\u00e9crivant plusieurs sc\u00e9narios possibles et leurs cons\u00e9quences techniques: replis \u00e0 une profondeur de 800m, r\u00e9alisation d\u2019une chaufferie bois pour compl\u00e9ter l\u2019approvisionnement en chaleur. D\u2019autre part, le contrat d\u00e9finit \u00e9galement les objectifs tarifaires et environnementaux associ\u00e9s au sc\u00e9nario de base et aux sc\u00e9narios d\u2019\u00e9chec pour garantir, dans tous les cas, un tarif tr\u00e8s comp\u00e9titif et un taux d\u2019\u00e9nergie renouvelable toujours sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 80%. Ces m\u00e9canismes contractuels, associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la couverture de l\u2019ADEME, permettent \u00e0 Bordeaux M\u00e9tropole et \u00e0 Cofely-Storengy de ma\u00eetriser les risques d’une innovation prometteuse pour le territoire bordelais qui pourrait ouvrir la voie \u00e0 bien d\u2019autres.<\/p>\n
