Les sp\u00e9cialistes sont unanimes: la g\u00e9othermie doit \u00eatre exploit\u00e9e, mais des secousses telluriques sont \u00e0 \u00e9viter. Lors du forum de G\u00e9othermie-Suisse, il s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9 que dans notre pays, en particulier, des projets sont poursuivis dans le domaine de la chaleur. Toutefois, les avis des experts provenant de France, d\u2019Allemagne et de Suisse divergent sur l\u2019importance de la sismicit\u00e9 induite.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Il r\u00e8gne un climat d\u2019optimisme en Suisse: plusieurs projets du domaine de la chaleur et du refroidissement g\u00e9othermiques seront lanc\u00e9s ou ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 commenc\u00e9 avec une exploration concr\u00e8te du sous-sol. Le potentiel \u00e9conomique et \u00e9cologique de telles installations est \u00e9norme. Cependant, en m\u00eame temps, il faut \u00e9galement prendre en compte la population et ses craintes, notamment concernant la sismicit\u00e9 induite. Lors du forum de G\u00e9othermie-Suisse, les derni\u00e8res informations concernant les projets du domaine de la chaleur et du refroidissement ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es le matin, alors que l\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la sismicit\u00e9 induite.<\/p>\n

Il se passe quelque chose<\/strong>
\nUn projet phare bien au-del\u00e0 de la Suisse et de l\u2019Europe est le Programme GEothermie 2020 de Gen\u00e8ve. Au printemps 2018, des r\u00e9sultats exceptionnels des essais de pompage du premier forage d\u2019exploration \u00e0 Satigny ont couronn\u00e9 de succ\u00e8s les travaux r\u00e9alis\u00e9s jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent. L\u2019installation g\u00e9othermique \u00e0 Riehen, qui est exploit\u00e9e avec succ\u00e8s depuis plus de 25 ans, doit \u00eatre agrandie d\u2019un double forage (doublet). Plusieurs autres projets sont en cours d\u2019ex\u00e9cution tel celui dans le domaine de la chaleur \u00e0 Brigue-Glis et le stockage g\u00e9ologique Forsthaus \u00e0 Berne. Le projet \u00e0 Oftringen, r\u00e9cemment suspendu, devrait aussi reprendre de la vitesse gr\u00e2ce au financement national nouvellement introduit pour les projets du domaine de la chaleur. Les r\u00e9sultat des essais de pompage du projet g\u00e9othermique de Davos sont prometteurs. Actuellement, un mod\u00e8le g\u00e9ologique et hydraulique en 3D \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle y est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9, ce qui permettra de planifier d\u2019autres installations g\u00e9othermiques \u00e0 Davos et dans les environs. L\u2019Association G\u00e9othermie Thurgovie (Verein Geothermie Thurgau VGTG) fait avancer une offensive g\u00e9othermique dans le canton de Thurgovie. Des grands agriculteurs sont inform\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re cibl\u00e9e sur les avantages des installations g\u00e9othermiques pour l\u2019approvisionnement en chauffage et en refroidissement et sont soutenus lors de la r\u00e9alisation d\u2019\u00e9tudes de faisabilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

La France plus d\u00e9tendue que la Suisse<\/strong>
\nLes sp\u00e9cialistes sont d\u2019accord pour dire qu\u2019il faut tenir compte de la sismicit\u00e9 induite et des craintes de la population. En m\u00eame temps, l\u2019exp\u00e9rience des experts de Suisse, d\u2019Allemagne et de France montre cependant aussi que la perception, l\u2019importance et les effets attendus de la sismicit\u00e9 induite diff\u00e9rent consid\u00e9rablement d\u2019un pays \u00e0 l\u2019autre. Les plus grandes divergences d\u2019opinions sont visibles concernant les installations g\u00e9othermiques de moyenne profondeur, soit jusqu\u2019\u00e0 3000 m\u00e8tres de profondeur. Particuli\u00e8rement en France, l\u2019approche de la sismicit\u00e9 induite est beaucoup plus d\u00e9tendue qu\u2019en Suisse, et ce, parce que des installations y sont en activit\u00e9 depuis des d\u00e9cennies et que les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s sont donc beaucoup moins nombreux.<\/p>\n

G\u00e9ologie locale importante<\/strong>
\nLes travaux de recherche dans le laboratoire souterrain du Grimsel permettent une meilleure compr\u00e9hension des mesures de stimulation hydraulique. Les r\u00e9sultats pr\u00e9liminaires montrent que les conditions g\u00e9ologiques locales sont plus importantes que le type de stimulation. D\u00e9sormais, les travaux du Grimsel sont approfondis dans le laboratoire souterrain Bedretto (tunnel lat\u00e9ral du tunnel de la Furka). Seules des exp\u00e9riences \u00e0 petite \u00e9chelle ont pu \u00eatre faites dans le laboratoire souterrain du Grimsel. Le laboratoire Bedretto, actuellement en cours d\u2019agrandissement par l\u2019EPF Zurich, permet des exp\u00e9riences \u00e0 des \u00e9chelles beaucoup plus grandes. Les travaux du Bedretto constitueront une \u00e9tape importante dans le d\u00e9veloppement de syst\u00e8mes g\u00e9othermiques, o\u00f9 les vibrations peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9duites \u00e0 un niveau non g\u00eanant.<\/p>\n
