La ministre de l\u2019\u00e9nergie lance un appel aux services industriels afin qu\u2019ils saisissent l\u2018opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019utiliser cette ressource. \n<\/strong>Doris Leuthard: Oui, elle a beaucoup \u00e0 offrir \u2013 de la faible \u00e0 la grande profondeur.<\/p>\n

Pourquoi donc ?
\n<\/strong>La g\u00e9othermie fournit de l\u2019\u00e9nergie en ruban tout au long de l\u2019ann\u00e9e. Elle ne d\u00e9pend pas de la m\u00e9t\u00e9o. En outre, elle s\u2019utilise de mani\u00e8re extr\u00eamement polyvalente. La g\u00e9othermie peut produire de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, fournir de la chaleur ou m\u00eame du froid et est, d\u00e8s lors, une formidable source d\u2019\u00e9nergie.<\/p>\n

Quels r\u00f4les joue la g\u00e9othermie dans la strat\u00e9gie \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique 2050 ?
\n<\/strong>Nous connaissons la g\u00e9othermie peu profonde depuis longtemps. Bien avant l\u2019\u00e9laboration de la strat\u00e9gie \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique 2050, nous savions qu\u2019il serait judicieux d\u2019aussi utiliser la chaleur du sous-sol \u00e0 plus grande profondeur. Si nous pouvions puiser dans cette r\u00e9serve en compl\u00e9ment de l\u2019hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, de l\u2019\u00e9nergie solaire et \u00e9olienne et de la biomasse, de nombreux probl\u00e8mes seraient r\u00e9solus.<\/p>\n

Se laisse-t-elle exploiter ?
\n<\/strong>Chaque technologie a ses avantages et ses inconv\u00e9nients. Nous ne savons jamais au d\u00e9part si le march\u00e9, la population et la nature vont collaborer. Avec la g\u00e9othermie nous avons \u00e0 traiter d\u2019opportunit\u00e9s et de risques \u2013 je pense aux tremblements de terre \u2013 qui sont associ\u00e9s. Mais il serait faux de ne pas tout entreprendre pour permettre l\u2019exploitation de cet \u00e9norme potentiel de chaleur. Si cela fonctionne, cela serait tr\u00e8s utile pour l\u2019approvisionnement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique suisse.<\/p>\n

Et que dites-vous \u00e0 ceux qui ont peur des tremblements de terre\u00a0?
\n<\/strong>Je peux comprendre les craintes. Mais si l\u2019on n\u2019ose rien, nous ne gagnerons rien. Nous vivons en Suisse avec un haut niveau de prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 et beaucoup de choses qui fonctionnent tr\u00e8s bien.\u00a0 \u00a0Nous ne sommes pas vraiment \u00e0 l\u2019aise avec des changements qui comportent des nouveaux risques. La g\u00e9othermie profonde n\u2019est pas sans risques. Ce qui est important, c\u2019est de r\u00e9duire ces risques \u00e0 leurs stricts minimums. Cette obligation pr\u00e9vaut partout, m\u00eame dans les barrages, le transport de chlore par rail ou dans la circulation routi\u00e8re. La priorit\u00e9 absolue est de donner une information compl\u00e8te et une transparence absolue. Saint-Gall l\u2019a bien fait et a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 qu\u2019une certaine acceptation du risque par la population est possible. La cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9 du porteur de projet est un facteur cl\u00e9 de succ\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

Dans le Canton du Jura, \u00a0des citoyens r\u00e9coltent des signatures pour une initiative populaire contre la g\u00e9othermie.
\n<\/strong>Que l\u2019acceptation de la g\u00e9othermie ou de l\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e9olienne ne soit pas acquise partout est li\u00e9 avec notre bonne situation. Avec l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 comme pour le chauffage aussi, nous ne connaissons pas encore de difficult\u00e9s d\u2019approvisionnement. Souvent, les gens ne r\u00e9agissent que lorsque la p\u00e9nurie est possible.<\/p>\n

Et est-elle possible ?
\n<\/strong>Pas aujourd\u2019hui. Mais cela peut changer. Avec la strat\u00e9gie \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique 2050, nous voulons renforcer la part des \u00e9nergies renouvelables en Suisse et r\u00e9duire notre d\u00e9pendance aux pays \u00e9trangers. Par cons\u00e9quent, il vaut la peine d\u2019explorer le potentiel de l\u2019\u00e9nergie g\u00e9othermique. La surcapacit\u00e9 de production \u00e9lectrique actuelle en Europe ne durera pas. Pour convaincre les gens, nous avons besoin d\u2019un grand succ\u00e8s sur un projet. J\u2019esp\u00e8re vivement qu\u2019un tel succ\u00e8s surviendra bient\u00f4t.<\/p>\n

A qui pensez-vous ?
\n<\/strong>Par exemple au projet de Geo-Energie Suisse \u00e0 Haute-Sorne dans le Jura ou \u00e0 ce qui est men\u00e9 dans le Canton de Gen\u00e8ve. Dans l\u2019ensemble, nous avons environ 20 projets \u00e0 divers stades de d\u00e9veloppement. C\u2019est pourquoi je dis\u00a0: restez engag\u00e9s, restez engag\u00e9s, restez engag\u00e9s !<\/p>\n

Combien de projets devrait-il y avoir pour atteindre l\u2019objectif de 4,4, t\u00e9rawatt heures d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 en 2050 fix\u00e9s par le Conseil f\u00e9d\u00e9ral ?
\n<\/strong>Le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral ne fait pas de politique industrielle. Nous avons estim\u00e9 une possibilit\u00e9 r\u00e9aliste et cr\u00e9\u00e9 le cadre n\u00e9cessaire. La Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration soutien \u00e9galement la recherche et le d\u00e9veloppement. C\u2019est donc maintenant \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9conomie de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des projets.<\/p>\n

Alpiq, Axpo et BKW ont abandonn\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9nergie g\u00e9othermique. <\/strong>O\u00f9 sont les investisseurs potentiels ?
\n<\/strong>La sortie des grandes soci\u00e9t\u00e9s d\u2019\u00e9nergie n\u2019est pas un non \u00e0 la g\u00e9othermie. Actuellement, ces soci\u00e9t\u00e9s ont d\u2019autres priorit\u00e9s pour des raisons \u00e9conomiques. J\u2019encourage les services industriels \u00e0 lancer de tels projets. D\u00e9j\u00e0 impliqu\u00e9s dans l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, le chauffage et le rafra\u00eechissement et aussi localement bien ancr\u00e9s.\u00a0 Par ailleurs, il y a des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s d\u2019investissement qui pourraient fournir les capitaux requis pour la g\u00e9othermie.<\/p>\n

Est-ce un appel aux services industriels ?
\n<\/strong>Ils seraient les partenaires id\u00e9aux. Nous avons plus de 140 villes. Leurs services industriels sont agiles et devraient envisager cette source d\u2019\u00e9nergie.<\/p>\n

Votre municipalit\u00e9 de Merenschwand dans le canton d\u2019Argovie n\u2019est pas une ville. Mais est-ce que Elektra Merenschwand ne devrait pas entendre l\u2019appel de sa Conseill\u00e8re f\u00e9d\u00e9rale ?
\n<\/strong>Notre entreprise communale fait d\u00e9j\u00e0 beaucoup pour la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. Nous avons construit une usine de copeaux de bois et avons \u00e9quip\u00e9 le toit de notre nouveau gymnase d\u2019une installation solaire. Malheureusement les conditions des eaux souterraines ne nous permettent\u00a0 pas de compter sur la g\u00e9othermie. Si Elektra Merenschwand avait d\u00e9cel\u00e9 une opportunit\u00e9 g\u00e9othermique, ils s\u2019y serait engag\u00e9e\u00a0!<\/p>\n

M\u00eame si la municipalit\u00e9 avait d\u00fb s\u2019engager au minimum pour un capital-risque de 10 millions de francs ?
\n<\/strong>Mon exp\u00e9rience montre que s\u2019il a une valeur locale, la population soutient ce type d\u2019investissement.<\/p>\n

Utilisez-vous la g\u00e9othermie dans votre maison ?
\n<\/strong>Nous avons une pompe \u00e0 chaleur air-eau. A cause des eaux souterraines et d\u2019un sous-sol sablonneux il ne nous \u00e9tait pas possible d\u2019installer de sondes g\u00e9othermiques.\u00a0 Nous avons d\u00fb construire notre maison sur pieux. La maison est situ\u00e9e sur un banc de sable, mais ce n\u2019est pas pour autant que nous avons une plage devant chez nous (rires).<\/p>\n

Et o\u00f9 en est l\u2019administration f\u00e9d\u00e9rale en mati\u00e8re de g\u00e9othermie ?
\n<\/strong>L\u2019administration f\u00e9d\u00e9rale fait beaucoup. L\u2019important centre administratif de Berne-Liebefeld se chauffe avec des pompes \u00e0 chaleur sur une nappe d\u2019eau souterraine, \u00a0le b\u00e2timent du DETEC \u00e0 Ittigen gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la chaleur d\u2019eau de source et la cin\u00e9math\u00e8que suisse \u00e0 Penthaz avec un champ de sondes g\u00e9othermiques. Pour citer un autre exemple, le syst\u00e8me de chauffage du nouveau centre administratif de Berne-Wankdorf en cours de construction repose sur une combinaison sophistiqu\u00e9e d\u2019utilisation de chaleur r\u00e9siduelle, d\u2019\u00e9nergie g\u00e9othermique et de rafra\u00eechissement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019eau de pluie. \u00a0Le rafra\u00eechissement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la g\u00e9othermie est un sujet d\u2019actualit\u00e9. Roche Diagnostics \u00e0 Rotkreuz se rafraichit d\u2019ailleurs de la sorte.<\/p>\n

Le 21 mai prochain, la Suisse se prononcera sur la strat\u00e9gie \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique 2050. Que signifierait pour la g\u00e9othermie un non\u00a0\u00e0 cette votation ?
\n<\/strong>Cela signifierait la fin de la g\u00e9othermie profonde en Suisse.\u00a0 Il est difficile d\u2019imaginer que l\u2019\u00e9conomie investisse sans contributions pour l\u2019exploration ni garantie de risque \u00e9tendue, et sans une reprise \u00e0 prix co\u00fbtant. \u00a0Un non signifierait surtout plus d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et d\u2019importations \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques de l\u2019\u00e9tranger, une baisse de l\u2019offre et la fin du programme pour les b\u00e2timents. Mais c\u2019est une fausse question.<\/p>\n

D\u00e8s lors, qu\u2019est-ce qui est juste ?
\n<\/strong>Que se passera-t-il une fois que la strat\u00e9gie \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique 2050 aura \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9e ? Avec un oui l\u2019\u00e9nergie renouvelable fera un grand pas en avant. Cela g\u00e9n\u00e9rera des investissements et de l\u2019emploi en Suisse. En mati\u00e8re de g\u00e9othermie, j\u2019esp\u00e8re m\u00eame un v\u00e9ritable boom.<\/p>\n

Dans le domaine de l\u2019\u00e9nergie g\u00e9othermique de faible profondeur, la Suisse est un des leaders mondiaux. A l\u2019\u00e9tranger, il y a parfois de l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat pour notre expertise. <\/strong>Voyez-vous l\u00e0 l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019exporter nos connaissances ?
\n<\/strong>Absolument ! Notre pays a beaucoup de connaissances en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9nergies renouvelables. Je ne peux que soutenir l\u2019id\u00e9e de suivre ce chemin. Le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral dispose par le biais de Switzerland Global Enterprise d\u2019un outil de promotion des exportations appropri\u00e9. Utilisez-le\u00a0!<\/p>\n
