Le canton de Vaud a fait un grand pas pour la g\u00e9othermie dans le cadre de la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. Le gouvernement consacre plusieurs millions \u00e0 l’exploration du territoire cantonal ainsi qu’\u00e0 des projets g\u00e9othermiques.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le gouvernement vaudois souhaite lancer une campagne de prospection du sous-sol \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle dans le but de mieux comprendre la g\u00e9ologie du territoire : le conseiller d’\u00c9tat Vassilis Venizelos (Les Verts) demande \u00e0 cet effet une somme de 20 millions de francs. Cinq millions de francs suppl\u00e9mentaires devraient \u00eatre allou\u00e9s \u00e0 des projets g\u00e9othermiques, comme l’indique le canton de Vaud dans un communiqu\u00e9 de presse.<\/p>\n

La g\u00e9othermie: l’\u00e9l\u00e9ment cl\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n

La g\u00e9othermie est un \u00ab \u00e9l\u00e9ment cl\u00e9 \u00bb de la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et climatique, comme l’a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le conseiller d’\u00c9tat Venizelos, cit\u00e9 par 24heures. Le canton souhaite mieux comprendre ses ressources g\u00e9othermiques et d\u00e9velopper leur exploitation.<\/p>\n

Ce cr\u00e9dit est destin\u00e9 \u00e0 financer des \u00e9tudes sismiques en 3D et l’analyse des donn\u00e9es issues des forages d’exploration. Il permettra \u00e9galement d’\u00e9tudier les caract\u00e9ristiques des nappes souterraines et les sites potentiels de stockage du CO\u2082. L’objectif \u00e0 long terme est de garantir un approvisionnement en chaleur autonome et durable. La prochaine \u00e9tape consiste \u00e0 faire approuver ce cr\u00e9dit par le Grand Conseil.<\/p>\n

Un appel \u00e0 projets<\/strong><\/p>\n

Environ un tiers des \u00e9missions de CO\u2082 est imputable au chauffage des b\u00e2timents et des logements. Le canton de Vaud souhaite donc miser sur toutes les g\u00e9othermies (de faible \u00e0 grande profondeur), qui pourraient couvrir 35 % des besoins en chaleur d’ici 2050. \u00c0 cette fin, le gouvernement va lancer d\u00e8s cet \u00e9t\u00e9 un appel \u00e0 projets dot\u00e9 d\u2019une enveloppe initiale d\u2019environ 5 millions de francs. Ce financement est destin\u00e9 \u00e0 soutenir des projets d\u2019acteurs priv\u00e9s, en particulier pour des projets de g\u00e9othermie \u00e0 moyenne profondeur visant \u00e0 un usage indirect de la chaleur. Le gouvernement vaudois pourra d\u00e9cider de l’octroi de cette aide financi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n
