Il est situ\u00e9 dans les Alpes suisses \u00e0 1,5 kilom\u00e8tre de profondeur et au milieu d’un tunnel de 5,2 kilom\u00e8tres qui relie le Tessin au tunnel ferroviaire de la Furka.\u00a0 \u00c9quip\u00e9 des derni\u00e8res technologies, il offre des conditions id\u00e9ales pour mener des recherches exp\u00e9rimentales ax\u00e9es sur le comportement du sous-sol profond lorsqu’on y acc\u00e8de et qu’on le stimule. L’objectif du projet est de produire de l’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et de la chaleur dans une centrale g\u00e9othermique aliment\u00e9e par deux forages d’environ 5 km de profondeur. Il s’agit d’un projet pilote en roche chaude s\u00e8che, con\u00e7u comme un d\u00e9monstrateur technologique pour ouvrir la voie \u00e0 de futurs projets. L’eau thermale la plus riche en min\u00e9raux de Suisse et une longue tradition de soins de bien-\u00eatre : la ville de Baden fait honneur \u00e0 son nom, qui signifie \u00ab bain \u00bb en allemand. D\u00e9couvrez l’histoire passionnante de cette ville thermale culturelle.<\/p>\n

L’eau thermale de Baden jaillit de 18 sources diff\u00e9rentes. Les Romains croyaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 aux vertus curatives de l’eau \u00e0 47\u00b0C. C’est pourquoi ils ont fond\u00e9 une colonie au bord de la Limmat, appel\u00e9e \u00ab Aquae Helveticae \u00bb.
