Z\u00e9ro net d’ici 2040 : c’est l’objectif que s’est fix\u00e9 l’a\u00e9roport de Zurich. La g\u00e9othermie fait partie de la solution, avec un chenal de l’\u00e8re glaciaire situ\u00e9 \u00e0 300 m\u00e8tres sous le site de l’a\u00e9roport.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

L’a\u00e9roport de Zurich innove pour remplacer les combustibles fossiles en misant sur la g\u00e9othermie. Apr\u00e8s avoir utilis\u00e9 cette \u00e9nergie naturelle en bande pour la d\u00e9carbonisation en installant des pieux \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques g\u00e9othermiques<\/a><\/strong><\/span> pour ses nouveaux b\u00e2timents, il fait un pas de plus en profondeur: un projet prometteur \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard pourrait \u00eatre l’utilisation d’un chenal de l’\u00e8re glaciaire situ\u00e9 300 m\u00e8tres sous le terrain de l’a\u00e9roport. Ce chenal, remplie de graviers aquif\u00e8res, servirait de r\u00e9servoir de chaleur et de froid<\/strong> pour chauffer et refroidir une part importante des b\u00e2timents de l’a\u00e9roport sans \u00e9missions. Ce projet de cette dimension est jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent unique en Suisse.<\/p>\n

Premiers r\u00e9sultats prometteurs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Les experts de l’a\u00e9roport de Zurich SA ont \u00e9labor\u00e9, en \u00e9troite collaboration avec IG Rinne, un consortium compos\u00e9 du bureau d’ing\u00e9nieurs-conseils Geo Explorers, de Sieber Cassina & Partner AG et de E-Axiom GmbH, une m\u00e9thode en plusieurs \u00e9tapes pour analyser le potentiel du chenal en tant que r\u00e9servoir. Dans un premier temps, des \u00e9tudes sismiques ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es. Cela a permis de repr\u00e9senter la profondeur du chenal, sa forme et la structure grossi\u00e8re des couches. Des forages de sondage suppl\u00e9mentaires sur trois sites ont confirm\u00e9 les premi\u00e8res conclusions et fourni des informations prometteuses sur le chenal : il peut atteindre un kilom\u00e8tre de large et environ 30 kilom\u00e8tres de long. Mais ce qui est d\u00e9cisif, c’est sa nature. Le chenal transporte du gravier et de l’eau et remplit ainsi les conditions d’un accumulateur potentiel de chaleur et de froid. La chaleur exc\u00e9dentaire de l’\u00e9t\u00e9 peut \u00eatre stock\u00e9e dans des graviers aquif\u00e8res et pr\u00e9lev\u00e9e pour le chauffage en hiver. Inversement, les b\u00e2timents peuvent \u00eatre refroidis en \u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Un projet pilote au rayonnement national<\/strong><\/p>\n

La prochaine \u00e9tape consiste \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un puits test. Il doit notamment montrer quelles quantit\u00e9s d’eau peuvent \u00eatre pomp\u00e9es, quelle est la vitesse d’\u00e9coulement et la composition chimique du cours d’eau. De cela d\u00e9pendra l’emplacement d\u00e9finitif des puits pour le pompage et le retour de l’eau souterraine, ainsi que le nombre de puits n\u00e9cessaires pour utiliser la rigole comme r\u00e9servoir efficace. Si un trop grand nombre de puits s’av\u00e9rait n\u00e9cessaire, l’a\u00e9roport de Zurich AG ne pourrait pas mettre en \u0153uvre le projet avec toute son efficacit\u00e9. Mais les perspectives sont positives. Les r\u00e9sultats des \u00e9tudes men\u00e9es jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent sont prometteurs. Ind\u00e9pendamment de la mesure dans laquelle ce chenal pourra finalement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 comme r\u00e9servoir de chaleur et de froid pour l’a\u00e9roport, les \u00e9tudes actuelles sont pr\u00e9cieuses et fournissent de nouvelles connaissances importantes sur la structure et les eaux souterraines de tels caniveaux profonds ainsi que sur leur exploitation.<\/p>\n

En cas de succ\u00e8s, l’a\u00e9roport de Zurich pourra utiliser le chenal comme r\u00e9servoir de chaleur et de froid \u00e0 partir de 2026. L’a\u00e9roport de Zurich SA estime que les co\u00fbts d’investissement pour l’exploration du chenal et la construction des puits se situent entre 4 et 8 millions de francs – selon le nombre et l’emplacement des puits. S’y ajouteraient des co\u00fbts d’am\u00e9nagement pour les conduites et d’autres mesures techniques. Le projet est soutenu par l’Office f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de l’\u00e9nergie (OFEN) en tant que projet pilote pour la g\u00e9o\u00e9nergie avec un maximum de 1 million de francs.<\/p>\n
