Le fournisseur d’\u00e9nergie CKW veut produire de l’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et de la chaleur gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la g\u00e9othermie de grande profondeur. S\u00fbre, bonne pour le climat et disponible en ruban sont les avantages de cette \u00e9nergie.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Aujourd’hui d\u00e9j\u00e0, la production d’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et de chaleur \u00e0 partir de sources non fossiles est insuffisante en hiver dans notre pays, ce qui entra\u00eene une d\u00e9pendance croissante vis-\u00e0-vis de l’\u00e9tranger. CKW est convaincue que seule une large diversification avec des technologies respectueuses du climat permettra d’assurer l’approvisionnement futur de la Suisse en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et en chaleur. \u00ab\u00a0Les technologies existent. Nous voulons investir dans la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d’approvisionnement et acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer leur d\u00e9veloppement\u00a0\u00bb, explique Martin Schwab, CEO de CKW. Dans l’optique de cette diversification, CKW a analys\u00e9 en d\u00e9tail le potentiel de la g\u00e9othermie dans le canton de Lucerne. En tant que source d’\u00e9nergie renouvelable, elle a le potentiel de fournir de l’\u00e9nergie sous forme de courant et de chaleur toute l’ann\u00e9e, par tous les temps et 24 heures sur 24 – ce qu’on appelle l’\u00e9nergie en ruban. Elle pourrait donc \u00eatre un \u00e9l\u00e9ment important d’un approvisionnement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique fiable, notamment pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d’approvisionnement en hiver. C’est pourquoi CKW s’appr\u00eate \u00e0 lancer un projet de g\u00e9othermie dans la commune d’Inwil.<\/p>\n

G\u00e9othermie de grande profondeur pour \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et chaleur<\/strong><\/p>\n

Selon une \u00e9tude de faisabilit\u00e9 de la g\u00e9othermie profonde r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en 2021 dans le canton de Lucerne, la r\u00e9gion d’Inwil\/Perlen offre de tr\u00e8s bonnes conditions g\u00e9ologiques pour un projet de g\u00e9othermie. Il s’agirait d’utiliser de l’eau chaude provenant d’une profondeur de forage d’environ 4’000 \u00e0 4’500 m\u00e8tres pour la production d’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et de chaleur. \u00c0 cette profondeur, la temp\u00e9rature de l’eau devrait \u00eatre d’environ 140\u00b0C. La centrale pr\u00e9vue permettra de produire de l’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 pour environ 4’000 m\u00e9nages et de la chaleur pour environ 6’500. L’emplacement exact de la centrale n’est pas encore d\u00e9finitivement fix\u00e9. Pour le projet, diff\u00e9rents sites sont actuellement \u00e9valu\u00e9s le long de l’autoroute sur le territoire de la commune d’Inwil. \u00ab\u00a0CKW a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le projet au conseil municipal d’Inwil au printemps de cette ann\u00e9e. Nous soutenons le projet de CKW dans le cadre de nos comp\u00e9tences et esp\u00e9rons que sa mise en \u0153uvre sera couronn\u00e9e de succ\u00e8s afin d’am\u00e9liorer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d’approvisionnement en Suisse centrale\u00a0\u00bb, explique Florian Meyerhans, conseiller municipal d’Inwil responsable du secteur des constructions.<\/p>\n

Les sites possibles le long de l’autoroute A2 sont id\u00e9alement situ\u00e9s : L’usine d’incin\u00e9ration des ordures m\u00e9nag\u00e8res de Renergia se trouve \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 imm\u00e9diate. De l\u00e0 partent des r\u00e9seaux de chauffage \u00e0 distance qui s’\u00e9tendent jusqu’\u00e0 Zoug et Lucerne. La chaleur produite \u00e0 partir d’une source naturelle pourrait y \u00eatre directement transf\u00e9r\u00e9e dans les r\u00e9seaux de chauffage urbain existants. Le besoin en chaleur respectueuse du climat augmentera massivement \u00e0 l’avenir, d’une part en raison du d\u00e9veloppement de la croissance des r\u00e9gions de Zoug et de Lucerne, mais aussi et surtout en raison de la d\u00e9carbonisation et du passage qui en d\u00e9coule des chauffages au mazout \u00e0 des solutions neutres en CO2 et respectueuses du climat. L’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 produite est inject\u00e9e dans le r\u00e9seau moyenne tension de CKW, augmentant ainsi la part d’\u00e9nergie renouvelable produite au niveau r\u00e9gional dans le mix \u00e9lectrique de CKW.<\/p>\n

Une approche en plusieurs \u00e9tapes<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pour la production d’\u00e9nergie, on vise la couche du Muschelkalk qui se trouve dans la r\u00e9gion d’Inwil \u00e0 une profondeur d’environ 3 750 m\u00e8tres sous le niveau de la mer. Dans cette couche de calcaire, il y a une forte probabilit\u00e9 de trouver suffisamment d’eau thermale. La temp\u00e9rature de l’eau attendue \u00e0 cette profondeur, d’environ 140\u00b0C, est suffisante pour la production d’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 (voir infographie). La m\u00eame couche rocheuse est utilis\u00e9e avec succ\u00e8s depuis des ann\u00e9es dans les deux centrales g\u00e9othermiques de Riehen (BL) et Schlattingen (TG) pour produire de l’eau chaude destin\u00e9e aux r\u00e9seaux de chauffage urbain. Les quelque 40 centrales g\u00e9othermiques d’Allemagne utilisent \u00e9galement principalement des couches de calcaire (Muschelkalk ou Malm) pour la production de chaleur et d’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 renouvelables. Pour v\u00e9rifier les connaissances existantes concernant la g\u00e9ologie dans la r\u00e9gion d’Inwil, la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape consiste \u00e0 effectuer un forage d’essai jusqu’\u00e0 la profondeur cible. S’il est concluant, le forage d’essai peut \u00eatre d\u00e9velopp\u00e9, le deuxi\u00e8me forage r\u00e9alis\u00e9 et la centrale construite.<\/p>\n

Le Muschelkalk vis\u00e9 est adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 la production de chaleur, car il dispose souvent d’une grande porosit\u00e9 naturelle et contient beaucoup d’eau thermale. Si, contre toute attente, il n’est pas possible de trouver suffisamment d’eau thermale exploitable dans la formation cible souhait\u00e9e, il existe des possibilit\u00e9s \u00e9prouv\u00e9es d’augmenter la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 \u00e0 l’eau dans le calcaire.<\/p>\n

\u00c9tudes pr\u00e9liminaires en cours et s\u00e9ance d’information<\/strong><\/p>\n

CKW pr\u00e9voit environ six ans pour la phase de planification, d’autorisation et de r\u00e9alisation et table sur des investissements d’environ 70 millions de francs. La Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration soutient les projets de g\u00e9othermie, car ils fournissent une pr\u00e9cieuse \u00e9nergie hivernale ou en ruban. Actuellement, les autorit\u00e9s cantonales proc\u00e8dent aux enqu\u00eates pr\u00e9liminaires pour le processus d’autorisation et de concession. Pour CKW, il est important que la population puisse s’informer de premi\u00e8re main. C’est pourquoi une r\u00e9union d’information publique aura lieu le 23 octobre \u00e0 19h30 au centre communal M\u00f6\u00f6sli \u00e0 Inwil.<\/p>\n

Assurer l’approvisionnement m\u00eame en hiver<\/strong><\/p>\n

La Suisse n’est pas sur la bonne voie en ce qui concerne le d\u00e9veloppement des \u00e9nergies renouvelables. Il est urgent d’acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le mouvement afin d’\u00e9viter ou du moins d’att\u00e9nuer les futures p\u00e9nuries d’approvisionnement. Dans ce contexte, une part \u00e9lev\u00e9e de production propre d’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 est tr\u00e8s importante pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d’approvisionnement de la Suisse. \u00ab\u00a0L’\u00e9nergie g\u00e9othermique
\nest une source d’\u00e9nergie durable, s\u00fbre et d\u00e9j\u00e0 utilis\u00e9e dans de nombreux endroits. En Allemagne et en France, cette source d’\u00e9nergie fiable est d\u00e9j\u00e0 utilis\u00e9e \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle non loin de la fronti\u00e8re suisse. C’est le cas par exemple au sud de Munich et en r\u00e9gion parisienne, o\u00f9 de nombreuses centrales g\u00e9othermiques comparables \u00e0 notre projet sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 en service depuis des ann\u00e9es avec succ\u00e8s. Nous devons \u00e9galement pouvoir r\u00e9aliser des projets g\u00e9othermiques en Suisse. Ils sont un \u00e9l\u00e9ment important pour un approvisionnement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique s\u00fbr, fiable et respectueux du climat\u00a0\u00bb, d\u00e9clare Martin Schwab, CEO de CKW.<\/p>\n

Technique de forage fortement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lors de pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents projets de g\u00e9othermie profonde en Suisse (par exemple \u00e0 B\u00e2le et \u00e0 Saint-Gall), on a d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment for\u00e9 dans des zones de fracture et de perturbation \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur de la terre, car une grande quantit\u00e9 d’eau chaude y circule et on en attendait une exploitation \u00e9conomique. Or, les zones de fracture et de perturbation sont des zones rocheuses soumises \u00e0 de fortes tensions et pr\u00e9sentent donc un risque sismique \u00e9lev\u00e9. Le canton de Lucerne est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme une r\u00e9gion \u00e0 faible risque sismique et aucune zone de rupture ou de perturbation potentiellement dangereuse n’est connue dans la r\u00e9gion d’Inwil. Par ailleurs, la technique de forage et la d\u00e9tection pr\u00e9coce des activit\u00e9s sismiques ont consid\u00e9rablement \u00e9volu\u00e9 depuis les premiers projets en Suisse. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces nouvelles technologies \u00e9prouv\u00e9es, aucun mouvement de terrain perceptible par l’homme ou entra\u00eenant des dommages n’est d\u00e9clench\u00e9.<\/p>\n
