Le potentiel pour une large utilisation de la g\u00e9othermie est confirm\u00e9.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Les r\u00e9sultats de la campagne sismique 3D men\u00e9e en automne 2021 on r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 des images in\u00e9dites du sous-sol genevois. Elles montrent des d\u00e9couvertes g\u00e9ologiques majeures et confirment un environnement propice \u00e0 l\u2019exploitation \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle de la g\u00e9othermie de moyenne profondeur. Le Canton<\/strong> <strong>de Gen\u00e8ve envisage de couvrir 14% de ses besoins thermiques avec la g\u00e9othermie d\u2019ici 2035 et 30% d\u2019ici 2050. Le programme GEothermies devrait passer de la phase d\u2019exploration \u00e0 la phase de production d\u2019ici 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>La g\u00e9othermie, une ressource-cl\u00e9 de notre transition \u00e9cologique <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats obtenus par la campagne de prospection du sous-sol du bassin genevois en 2021 sont de bon augure pour la transition \u00e9cologique du canton, l&rsquo;ind\u00e9pendance \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et la substitution des \u00e9nergies fossiles (gaz et mazout) qui alimentent \u00e0 90% le parc b\u00e2ti de Gen\u00e8ve. <em>\u00abLa g\u00e9othermie est une des ressources-cl\u00e9s pour l\u2019avenir de Gen\u00e8ve. Le contexte g\u00e9opolitique, climatique et \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique actuel tendu nous enseigne que la substitution des \u00e9nergies fossiles et l\u2019ind\u00e9pendance \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique sont plus urgentes que jamais.\u00a0\u00bb <\/em>a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Antonio Hodgers, conseiller d\u2019Etat en charge du d\u00e9partement du territoire. Les donn\u00e9es analys\u00e9es r\u00e9v\u00e8lent des images in\u00e9dites du sous-sol genevois en trois dimensions, des d\u00e9couvertes majeures sur le plan g\u00e9ologique et, surtout, un terrain propice au d\u00e9veloppement de la g\u00e9othermie de moyenne profondeur. Le programme GEothermies men\u00e9 par l\u2019Etat de Gen\u00e8ve et SIG, dans lequel s\u2019inscrivent ces r\u00e9sultats, pr\u00e9voit un passage de l\u2019exploration \u00e0 l\u2019industrialisation de la g\u00e9othermie de moyenne profondeur \u00e0 l\u2019horizon 2026. L\u2019objectif est de couvrir 30% des besoins en chauffage du canton d\u2019ici 2050 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la g\u00e9othermie.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/geothermie-schweiz.ch\/wp_live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Coupe_3_0.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-21376 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/geothermie-schweiz.ch\/wp_live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Coupe_3_0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"4720\" height=\"2665\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Les failles g\u00e9ologiques identifi\u00e9es gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la campagne sismique 3D vont permettent de positionner le futures forages avec pr\u00e9cision (source: GEothermies)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>100 Tera octets de donn\u00e9es pour une carte du sous-sol en 3 dimensions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les 100 Tera octets de donn\u00e9es collect\u00e9es par les g\u00e9ophones (petits boitiers oranges), ce qui correspond \u00e0 environ 1000 smartphones de 64 Go, ont fourni d\u2019excellents r\u00e9sultats, tant au niveau de la qualit\u00e9 des images obtenues que de leur contenu. Ces images capt\u00e9es entre 150 et 5000 m\u00e8tres de profondeur permettent aujourd\u2019hui de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019une vision du sous-sol en 3D. Il est d\u00e9sormais possible de distinguer les diff\u00e9rentes couches g\u00e9ologiques, leurs \u00e9paisseurs et leurs caract\u00e9ristiques. Les images mettent aussi en \u00e9vidence les failles du sous-sol genevois, leurs orientations, leurs trajectoires et leurs profondeurs. Certaines de ces failles fracturent les couches g\u00e9ologiques sur plusieurs milliers de m\u00e8tres d\u2019\u00e9paisseur avec parfois des d\u00e9calages de 400 m\u00e8tres de hauteur formant ainsi de v\u00e9ritables montagnes souterraines. L&rsquo;ensemble de ces indices sont tr\u00e8s prometteurs car on sait que de l&rsquo;eau circule dans ces roches faill\u00e9es. Il appara\u00eet que l\u2019orientation des failles telle que d\u00e9crite dans les manuels et sur les cartes est erron\u00e9e. Elles sont en v\u00e9rit\u00e9 principalement orient\u00e9es dans un axe est\/ouest alors que jusqu\u2019alors, on les a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es sur un axe nord-ouest\/sud-est. <em>\u00abC\u2019est une incroyable d\u00e9couverte qui nous permet aujourd\u2019hui de mieux comprendre pourquoi le forage exploratoire de Satigny a bien fonctionn\u00e9 alors que ceux de Lully ou de Th\u00f4nex n\u2019ont pas donn\u00e9 les r\u00e9sultats escompt\u00e9s en termes de d\u00e9bits d\u2019eau\u00bb, <\/em>a soulign\u00e9 Christian Brunier, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de SIG<em>.<\/em> Cette avanc\u00e9e g\u00e9ologique contribuera \u00e0 mieux cibler les prochains forages exploratoires pr\u00e9vus en 2024 et 2025, le 3<sup>e<\/sup> se situera entre Meyrin et le secteur des Nations et le 4<sup>e<\/sup> du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de Veyrier-Troinex. En cas de succ\u00e8s, ces forages passeront directement de la phase d\u2019exploration \u00e0 la phase d\u2019exploitation \u00e0 l&rsquo;horizon 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gen\u00e8ve, canton pionnier<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La Suisse ne conna\u00eet pas bien son sous-sol. Cette m\u00e9connaissance provient du fait qu\u2019elle n\u2019a pas de tradition mini\u00e8re ou p\u00e9troli\u00e8re. Gen\u00e8ve est le premier canton \u00e0 connaitre son sous-sol gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la campagne sismique 3D.<em> \u00abUn exemple \u00e0 suivre\u00a0! Les donn\u00e9es genevoises sont essentielles car elles contribuent \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la connaissance du sous-sol et montrent que si on ne m\u00e8ne pas de telles op\u00e9rations on risque de passer \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 d\u2019un important potentiel n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 la transition \u00e9cologique en Suisse\u00bb<\/em>, pr\u00e9cise Nathalie Andenmatten-Berthoud, responsable du service g\u00e9ologique national<em>. <\/em>L\u2019acquisition de ces donn\u00e9es, subventionn\u00e9e par la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration, fournit \u00e9galement des informations utiles pour r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 d\u2019\u00e9ventuels autres projets d\u2019utilisation du sous-sol tels que la production \u00e9lectrique, voire le stockage de chaleur ou de CO<sub>2<\/sub>.
