Les r\u00e9sultats du forage g\u00e9othermique de Lavey-les-Bains (VD) le confirment : Le risque g\u00e9ologique ne doit et ne peut pas \u00eatre assum\u00e9 par des promoteurs individuels. La Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration doit enfin prendre des mesures pour compenser enti\u00e8rement ce risque. C’est la seule fa\u00e7on de mettre la g\u00e9othermie sur un pied d’\u00e9galit\u00e9 avec les autres \u00e9nergies renouvelables.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dans l’int\u00e9r\u00eat d’une transformation durable et respectueuse du climat et de notre approvisionnement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, le sous-sol suisse joue un r\u00f4le central. Ainsi, la g\u00e9othermie peut fournir un quart de la chaleur n\u00e9cessaire en Suisse d’ici 2050. En outre, le sous-sol et ses g\u00e9oressources rev\u00eatent une importance strat\u00e9gique pour se lib\u00e9rer des \u00e9nergies fossiles et devenir ind\u00e9pendant en mati\u00e8re de politique \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. La Suisse ne peut pas se permettre de ne pas exploiter cet immense potentiel.<\/p>\n

Le risque du sous-sol \u00e0 chaque forage<\/strong><\/p>\n

Comme la Suisse n’a pas de tradition p\u00e9troli\u00e8re, gazi\u00e8re ou mini\u00e8re, le sous-sol de notre pays reste peu connu. Pour certains porteurs de projets – le plus souvent des consortiums incluant des communes – cela signifie un risque \u00e9lev\u00e9. Les r\u00e9sultats communiqu\u00e9s<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0 par AGEPP SA concernant le forage g\u00e9othermique de Lavey-les-Bains, dans le Chablais vaudois, le confirment. Un forage a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 \u00e0 travers l’une des roches les plus dures du monde jusqu’\u00e0 une profondeur d’environ 3000 m\u00e8tres. La chaleur est certes pr\u00e9sente, mais pas l’eau qui permettrait de l’exploiter. Et ce, bien que l’eau chaude des profondeurs alimente les bains thermaux dans les environs imm\u00e9diats du forage.<\/p>\n

Comme le montre l’exemple de Lavey, chaque forage en Suisse a un caract\u00e8re exploratoire. Or, l’exploration du sous-sol et la prise de risque qui y est li\u00e9e ne peuvent pas \u00eatre l’affaire de promoteurs individuels. Les Chambres f\u00e9d\u00e9rales ont donc donn\u00e9 au Conseil f\u00e9d\u00e9ral le mandat d’explorer le sous-sol<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(Motion du CN Jauslin). Toutefois, un tel programme national d’exploration ne peut \u00eatre mis en \u0153uvre qu’\u00e0 moyen terme. Et une fois le sous-sol explor\u00e9, m\u00eame si les chances de succ\u00e8s seront nettement augment\u00e9es, il restera toujours un risque g\u00e9ologique que certains forages ne soient pas exploitables<\/p>\n

L’\u00e9galit\u00e9 de traitement est exig\u00e9e<\/strong><\/p>\n

C’est pourquoi G\u00e9othermie-Suisse exige depuis des ann\u00e9es de la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration qu’elle adapte enfin le syst\u00e8me de soutien actuel, qui est insuffisant. Il est incompr\u00e9hensible que la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration ne traite pas la g\u00e9othermie de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re que les autres \u00e9nergies renouvelables. Pour obtenir l’\u00e9galit\u00e9 de traitement, le risque g\u00e9ologique doit \u00eatre enti\u00e8rement pris en charge par la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration. Cela peut se faire par exemple en combinant les contributions \u00e0 l’investissement actuelles avec des garanties de risque ou en cr\u00e9ant un nouveau fonds pour couvrir ces risques. Si la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration n’agit pas rapidement, elle risque d’\u00e9touffer la nouvelle dynamique des projets de g\u00e9othermie. Il faut une r\u00e9glementation qui, d’une part, permette aux porteurs de projets de surmonter un revers et, d’autre part, cr\u00e9e suffisamment d’incitations pour lancer de nombreux autres projets.<\/p>\n

Des repr\u00e9sentants de la politique, de l’\u00e9conomie et de la science informeront sur la contribution de la g\u00e9othermie \u00e0 la d\u00e9carbonisation et au renforcement d’un mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique suisse lors du Forum-G\u00e9othermie<\/a><\/span><\/span> fin septembre \u00e0 Berne. Il y a aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 montr\u00e9 pourquoi une garantie de risque<\/a><\/span><\/span> est importante et comment en France une telle garantie<\/a><\/span><\/span> a contribu\u00e9 au d\u00e9veloppement de la g\u00e9othermie.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
