Des pieux \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques, ainsi que tous les murs et dalles, qui sont en contact avec le terrain, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9quip\u00e9s de conduits \u00e9changeurs thermiques. <\/strong><!--more--><strong>Ils stockent la chaleur et le froid selon la saison et soutiennent ainsi le r\u00e9seau thermique interne. Le DLL offre ainsi, en plus des postes de travail modulaires pour des travaux pratiques dans les domaines de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9lectronique, l\u2019optique, la robotique et la communication pour les \u00e9tudiants en bachelor de l\u2019EPFL, une temp\u00e9rature ambiante toujours agr\u00e9able.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Au total, 450 m2 de dalles et de murs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9quip\u00e9s, et 176 m de pieux \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques, pour un total lin\u00e9aire de deux kilom\u00e8tres. Afin de maximiser le potentiel de l\u2019installation, le sous-sol en contact avec les g\u00e9ostructures est utilis\u00e9 principalement pour le stockage de la chaleur et du froid. L\u2019\u00e9change de chaleur entre le sol et la structure en b\u00e9ton est assur\u00e9 par un syst\u00e8me de conduits dispos\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de cette derni\u00e8re, et au sein duquel circule un fluide caloporteur. Comme les conduits sont install\u00e9s dans les dalles et murs du b\u00e2timent, la dissipation de l\u2019\u00e9nergie thermique est plus efficace. Ce type d\u2019utilisation g\u00e9othermique s\u2019est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 en Europe et dans le reste du monde depuis les ann\u00e9es 1980.
