A cette \u00e9ch\u00e9ance, il couvrira 50% des besoins de chaleur des lausannois et plus de 75% en 2050. Le chauffage des b\u00e2timents est un enjeu crucial puisqu\u2019il repr\u00e9sente pr\u00e8s de 60% des \u00e9missions directes totale. Avec ses r\u00e9seaux thermiques, la Municipalit\u00e9 dispose d\u2019un levier tr\u00e8s important pour d\u00e9carboner le secteur des b\u00e2timents. La chaleur g\u00e9othermique de moyenne profondeur assurera ainsi de l\u2019ordre de 10% des besoins lausannois de chaleur en 2050 et participera \u00e9galement \u00e0 l\u2019approvisionnement de l\u2019ouest lausannois. Elle contribuera \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer le mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique du chauffage \u00e0 distance par de la chaleur renouvelable locale.<\/p>\n<p>La prospection et l\u2019exploration se concentreront sur les aquif\u00e8res du Cr\u00e9tac\u00e9, du Malm et du Dogger. Les profondeurs de ces couches g\u00e9ologiques varient tr\u00e8s fortement sur le p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre de l\u2019agglom\u00e9ration lausannoise.
