Conclusion: Le sous-sol suisse offre une multitude de possibilit\u00e9s susceptibles de favoriser la mise en \u0153uvre de la Strat\u00e9gie \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique 2050.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/geothermie-schweiz.ch\/wp_live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/PNR_FR.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-13653 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/geothermie-schweiz.ch\/wp_live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/PNR_FR-300x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Le projet conjoint \u00ab\u00c9nergie hydro\u00e9lectrique et g\u00e9othermique\u00bb \u00e9tait avant tout consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 la question de savoir o\u00f9 en Suisse trouver des couches de sol appropri\u00e9es, r\u00e9pondant de mani\u00e8re optimale aux exigences des diff\u00e9rentes utilisations. Un autre axe de recherche concernait les mesures visant \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la sismicit\u00e9 induite par les forages profonds et les dommages aux structures qui en r\u00e9sultent. Par ailleurs, des mod\u00e8les et des simulations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9s dans le but de mieux comprendre les processus souterrains qui interviennent dans la mise en \u0153uvre et l\u2019exploitation des ressources g\u00e9othermiques.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le potentiel de la g\u00e9othermie \u00e0 moyenne profondeur est \u00e9norme<br \/>\n<\/strong>En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, les <a href=\"https:\/\/nfp-energie.ch\/fr\/dossiers\/192\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">r\u00e9sultats de recherche de la synth\u00e8se conjointe g\u00e9othermie<\/span><\/a> montrent que la Suisse jouit de bonnes conditions pour l\u2019utilisation de la g\u00e9othermie de moyenne profondeur (1-3 km), tant pour le parc de b\u00e2timents que pour les processus industriels. Les chercheurs se sont concentr\u00e9s uniquement sur l\u2019une des couches potentiellement int\u00e9ressantes: par exemple, dans le projet \u00abR\u00e9servoirs de chaleur \u00e0 grande profondeur\u00bb, l\u2019ad\u00e9quation de l\u2019aquif\u00e8re dolomitique \u00e0 Trigonodus dans le Muschelkalk sup\u00e9rieur a \u00e9t\u00e9 examin\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re approfondie pour la production de chaleur et d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9. (Source: Prof. Larryn Diamond, Universit\u00e9 de Berne)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Le sous-sol offre encore plus<br \/>\n<\/strong>Les chercheurs estiment le potentiel \u00e9tant grand en ce qui concerne le stockage saisonnier de chaleur et de gaz. Le potentiel de stockage d\u00e9finitif de CO2 dans des quantit\u00e9s pertinentes s\u2019av\u00e8re en revanche plut\u00f4t limit\u00e9. Concernant la production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de la chaleur issue de la g\u00e9othermie profonde (&gt; 3 km), il n\u2019existe pas encore de certitude d\u00e9finitive quant \u00e0 l\u2019importance du potentiel \u00e9conomiquement exploitable du sous-sol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quatre messages cl\u00e9s\u2026<br \/>\n<\/strong>Le sous-sol peut et va tr\u00e8s probablement jouer un r\u00f4le central dans le futur syst\u00e8me \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique suisse. Les recherches men\u00e9es permettent de formuler les quatre messages cl\u00e9s suivants :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Potentiel disponible<\/em> \u2013 Au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la Suisse a fait de grands progr\u00e8s dans l\u2019utilisation de la g\u00e9othermie de faible profondeur, par exemple gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019utilisation de pompes \u00e0 chaleur. Le potentiel des r\u00e9servoirs de chaleur qui existent incontestablement \u00e0 des profondeurs plus importantes (1 \u00e0 3 km) n\u2019est en revanche pas encore exploit\u00e9. Il serait particuli\u00e8rement adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019alimentation de r\u00e9seaux de chaleur de proximit\u00e9 et de process industriels. L\u2019utilisation de la g\u00e9othermie pour la production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 n\u2019en est quant \u00e0 elle encore qu\u2019\u00e0 ses d\u00e9buts. Elle pourrait cependant percer d\u00e8s lors que les risques li\u00e9s aux s\u00e9ismes induits seront ma\u00eetris\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<li><em>Approche globale<\/em> \u2013 Tant les utilisations potentielles pour l\u2019approvisionnement en chaleur, la production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et comme moyen de stockage que les conditions g\u00e9ologiques, hydrog\u00e9ologiques et tectoniques du sous-sol, ainsi que tous les aspects de l\u2019approvisionnement en \u00e9nergie et des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, doivent \u00eatre abord\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re globale et en tenant compte de nombreuses interd\u00e9pendances. Une telle d\u00e9marche est incontournable pour trouver des solutions optimales.<\/li>\n<li><em>Large acceptation n\u00e9cessaire <\/em>\u2013 Tant les utilisations potentielles pour l\u2019approvisionnement en chaleur, la production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et comme moyen de stockage que les conditions g\u00e9ologiques, hydrog\u00e9ologiques et tectoniques du sous-sol, ainsi que tous les aspects de l\u2019approvisionnement en \u00e9nergie et des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, doivent \u00eatre abord\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re globale et en tenant compte de nombreuses interd\u00e9pendances. Une telle d\u00e9marche est incontournable pour trouver des solutions optimales.<\/li>\n<li><em>D\u00e9finition de priorit\u00e9s<\/em> \u2013 Afin de soutenir le plus efficacement possible la restructuration fondamentale du syst\u00e8me \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique suisse au cours des prochaines d\u00e9cennies, des priorit\u00e9s claires doivent \u00eatre fix\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re d\u2019utilisation du sous-sol:\n<ol>\n<li>Extraction de chaleur \u00e0 moyenne profondeur (1-3 km) afin de r\u00e9duire substantiellement les \u00e9missions de CO2.<\/li>\n<li>S\u00e9paration du CO2 chez les principaux \u00e9metteurs, tels que les cimenteries et les usines d\u2019incin\u00e9ration de d\u00e9chets, en vue de sa r\u00e9utilisation judicieuse ou de son stockage permanent.<\/li>\n<li>D\u00e9veloppement de la production de courant g\u00e9othermique pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande croissante d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 qui r\u00e9sultera du couplage sectoriel (p. ex. \u00e9lectromobilit\u00e9, pompes \u00e0 chaleur).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u2026 et quatre recommandations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nfp-energie.ch\/fr\/dossiers\/192\/cards\/384\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>La Suisse a besoin d\u2019une strat\u00e9gie nationale pour le sous-sol profond!<\/em><\/a><\/span><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Afin de soutenir au mieux la transformation du syst\u00e8me \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique suisse, une strat\u00e9gie globale doit \u00eatre \u00e9labor\u00e9e pour le sous-sol, en tenant compte de la g\u00e9othermie et de tous les autres usages.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nfp-energie.ch\/fr\/dossiers\/192\/cards\/385\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Utiliser toutes les possibilit\u00e9s de stockage de CO2 \u00e0 long terme!<\/em><\/a><\/span><em><br \/>\n<\/em>Pour atteindre l\u2019objectif de z\u00e9ro \u00e9mission nette de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, le CO2 doit \u00eatre \u00e9limin\u00e9 de la biosph\u00e8re, converti de fa\u00e7on judicieuse ou stock\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re permanente dans le sous-sol.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nfp-energie.ch\/fr\/dossiers\/192\/cards\/386\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>La production d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 g\u00e9othermique doit \u00eatre d\u00e9montr\u00e9e de toute urgence!<\/em><\/a><\/span><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Deux projets pilotes de g\u00e9othermie hydrothermale et p\u00e9trothermale sont dans les starting blocks : Lavey-les-Bains (VD) et Haute-Sorne (JU). Ils doivent servir \u00e0 d\u00e9montrer dans la pratique les progr\u00e8s majeurs r\u00e9alis\u00e9s ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es par la recherche en mati\u00e8re de limitation des risques sismiques.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nfp-energie.ch\/fr\/dossiers\/192\/cards\/387\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Les mesures de soutien public sont importantes et pertinentes!<\/em><\/a><\/span><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Dans de nombreux domaines, la g\u00e9othermie profonde et \u00e0 moyenne profondeur n\u2019en est qu\u2019aux pr\u00e9mices de son d\u00e9veloppement et ne peut donc pas encore g\u00e9n\u00e9rer les investissements n\u00e9cessaires sur le march\u00e9 ouvert.
