Its objective: identify possible recommendations and try to resolve or prevent possible thermal interferences between nearby geothermal plants.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/geothermie-schweiz.ch\/wp_live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Logo_geo4civhic.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13571 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/geothermie-schweiz.ch\/wp_live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Logo_geo4civhic.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"324\" height=\"156\" \/><\/a>Studies and physics confirm that if geothermal plants are near to each other, there are thermal interferences that can have important effects for the good functioning of the system over time. If thermal interferences between nearby geothermal plants is resolved or prevented, it guarantees maximum efficiency for all geothermal systems, even over the long term.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GEO4CIVHIC \u2013 retrofitting existing and historical buildings<br \/>\n<\/strong>The main goal of GEO4CIVHIC is to develop and demonstrate easier to install and more efficient Ground Source and Heat Exchangers (GSHEs), using innovative compact drilling machines tailored for the built environment &amp; developing or adapting heat pumps and other hybrid solutions in combination with renewable energy sources for retrofits through a holistic engineering and controls approach improving the return of investments. GEO4CIVHIC\u2019s target is to accelerate the deployment of shallow geothermal systems for heating and cooling in retrofitting existing and historical buildings.
