The\u00a0Ruggero Bertani Geothermal Innovation Award\u00a0is awarded annually to European entities which have made an outstanding contribution towards the field of geothermal energy in the form of innovative products, scientific research or project initiatives developed or released within the previous year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is the seal of excellence applied to the most intelligent and important ideas in research and industry which will play a key role in the future development of geothermal energy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Applications for the award 2020\u00a0are now open and can be submitted here until 14th\u00a0January 2020<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0Applications will be assessed on grounds of originality, innovation, reliability, reduction of emissions, and improvements in energy output. The winner of the past edition<\/span><\/a> was Swiss company Jansen AG with their Jansen HIPRESS borehole heat exchanger.<\/p>\n

Rendez-vous at the 14th<\/sup> GeoTHERM in Offenburg<\/strong>
\nThe award is organised jointly by\u00a0EGEC Geothermal\u00a0and Messe Offenburg, organisers of the\u00a0GeoTHERM fair and congress. The jury for this edition is composed of Miklos Antics (France), Sandra Kircher (Germany), Fausto Batini (Italy), Adele Manzella (Italy), Javier Urchueguia (Spain). The winner will be announced on 5th<\/sup>\u00a0March 2020\u00a0at GeoTHERM, Offenburg, Germany.<\/p>\n
