G\u00e9othermie-Suisse a appris par la presse qu\u2019un \u00e9v\u00e9nement sismique de faible intensit\u00e9 (magnitude de 3,1) a \u00e9t\u00e9 ressenti durant 2 \u00e0 3 secondes par une partie de la population de la ville de Strasbourg et de ses proches environs mardi 12 novembre 2019 \u00e0 14h38. <\/strong>Un s\u00e9isme de cette intensit\u00e9 peut \u00eatre faiblement ressenti mais ne provoque g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas de d\u00e9g\u00e2ts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

La \u00abShake Map\u00bb du tremblement de terre \u00e0 Strasbourg<\/p><\/div>\n

Selon les m\u00e9dias, ce s\u00e9isme pourrait \u00eatre li\u00e9 au projet de g\u00e9othermie profonde d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 \u00e0 Vendenheim par l\u2019entreprise Fonroche G\u00e9othermie, mais la cause de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement reste pour le moment tr\u00e8s incertaine. En effet, bien que situ\u00e9 dans le m\u00eame secteur g\u00e9ographique et donc potentiellement induit par le projet, l\u2019\u00e9picentre dudit s\u00e9isme semble situ\u00e9 \u00e0 plus de 5 kilom\u00e8tre du site g\u00e9othermique et une cause naturelle n\u2019est pas \u00e0 exclure pour le moment.<\/p>\n

Deux forages de plus de 5’000 m\u00e8tres (g\u00e9othermie de grande profondeur) ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s dans le cadre du projet de Vendenheim et visent une puissance de production de 10 MW \u00e9lectrique, soit l\u2019\u00e9quivalent des besoins de 9’000 habitants, auxquels s\u2019ajoutent 40 MW thermiques permettant de couvrir les besoins de 26’000 m\u00e9nages.<\/p>\n

Analyses suppl\u00e9mentaires pour confirmer ou infirmer l’origine<\/strong>
\nDes investigations sont en cours, sous l\u2019\u00e9gide notamment des sp\u00e9cialistes du r\u00e9seau national de surveillance sismique fran\u00e7ais (RENASS). Dans son communiqu\u00e9, le RENASS mentionne que des analyses suppl\u00e9mentaires seront men\u00e9es pour confirmer ou infirmer l\u2019origine induite de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement. G\u00e9othermie-Suisse suivra les d\u00e9veloppements \u00e0 venir li\u00e9s et communiquera sur les r\u00e9sultats des investigations men\u00e9es lorsqu\u2019ils seront connus.<\/p>\n
