Bient\u00f4t, le Costa Rica devrait devenir le cinqui\u00e8me pays au monde qui produit 100% de son besoin en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 avec des \u00e9nergies renouvelables. La\u00a0g\u00e9othermie contribue \u00e0 environ 13% au mix d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, le Costa Rica a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 la plus forte production en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9, \u00e0 chaque fois au mois d\u2019octobre. Cette fois-ci, le pays d\u2019Am\u00e9rique centrale a r\u00e9ussi un nouveau niveau record d\u00e9j\u00e0 au mois de mai plut\u00f4t d\u00e9favorable au plan climatique: le Costa Rica a produit 99,99 pourcent \u2013 ou 984,19 GWh \u2013 d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 partir d\u2019\u00e9nergies renouvelables. La majeure partie est certes d\u2019origine hydraulique, mais la g\u00e9othermie y a contribu\u00e9 avec 12,9 pourcent en mai 2019 d\u00e9j\u00e0, et elle continue de s\u2019accro\u00eetre: en juillet, une nouvelle centrale g\u00e9othermique avec une capacit\u00e9 install\u00e9e de 55 MW a \u00e9t\u00e9 mise en service.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Apr\u00e8s l\u2019Islande, le Costa Rica devient ainsi le deuxi\u00e8me pays au monde qui produit son besoin en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 100 pourcent \u00e0 partir d\u2019\u00e9nergies renouvelables, entre autres gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la g\u00e9othermie. Les trois autres pays qui ont atteint cette marque jusqu\u2019\u00e0 aujourd\u2019hui misent presque exclusivement sur la force hydraulique: l\u2019Albanie, la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo et le Paraguay.<\/p>\n
