Si une commune suisse peut pr\u00e9tendre au titre de pionni\u00e8re dans le domaine de la g\u00e9othermie, alors Riehen peut sans autre se porter candidate. Depuis pr\u00e8s de 25 ans, le r\u00e9seau de chaleur de Riehen (WVR) approvisionne la client\u00e8le en chaleur tir\u00e9e de la g\u00e9othermie.<\/strong>\u00a0Maintenant, cette commune de B\u00e2le-ville projette de proc\u00e9der \u00e0 un deuxi\u00e8me forage en profondeur: la nouvelle installation \u00abgeo2riehen\u00bb doit \u00eatre mise en service en 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

La centrale g\u00e9othermique Haselrain a \u00e9t\u00e9 mise en service en 1994.<\/p><\/div>\n

Le r\u00e9seau de chaleur WVR produit aujourd\u2019hui de la chaleur sur un total de six sites diff\u00e9rents. Le c\u0153ur du syst\u00e8me est une installation g\u00e9othermique en service depuis 1994 qui extrait de l\u2019eau chaude \u00e0 66\u00b0C \u00e0 plus de 1500 m\u00e8tres de profondeur, avant d\u2019\u00eatre inject\u00e9e dans un r\u00e9seau de chaleur \u00e0 distance de quelque 37 kilom\u00e8tres de long. La\u00a0deuxi\u00e8me installation fonctionnera selon un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 g\u00e9othermique exactement identique (utilisation de l\u2019aquif\u00e8re).<\/p>\n

Chaleur directement inject\u00e9e dans le r\u00e9seau de chaleur \u00e0 distance
\n<\/strong>Entre autres gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re installation g\u00e9othermique datant de pr\u00e8s de 25 ans, Riehen a \u00e9t\u00e9 en 2004 la premi\u00e8re commune europ\u00e9enne \u00e0 recevoir la distinction \u00abEuropean Energy Award Or\u00bb. Cette installation est sp\u00e9ciale en ce sens qu\u2019elle injecte la chaleur issue de la g\u00e9othermie directement dans le r\u00e9seau de chaleur \u00e0 distance et approvisionne ainsi la client\u00e8te. Actuellement, le r\u00e9seau de chaleur de Riehen couvre les besoins en chaleur de quelque 7700 personnes. Selon l\u2019\u00e9tat actuel de la planification, la nouvelle installation permettra dans une paire d\u2019ann\u00e9es de satisfaire aux besoins d\u2019environ 4000 personnes suppl\u00e9mentaires.<\/p>\n

Quelles sont les particularit\u00e9s du projet \u00abgeo2riehen\u00bb? \u00c0 votre avis, qu\u2019est-ce qui distingue ce projet?
\n<\/strong>En particulier le fait qu\u2019avec le projet actuel, nous abordons le domaine inconnu de la g\u00e9othermie. Il n\u2019existe pas d\u2019approche comparable en Europe ou en Suisse pour reproduire la puissance d\u2019une installation g\u00e9othermique fonctionnant dans cette classe de performance depuis pr\u00e8s d\u2019un quart de si\u00e8cle. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 W\u00e4rmeverbund Riehen S.A. assume \u00e0 nouveau le r\u00f4le de pionni\u00e8re dans ce domaine.<\/p>\n

Lorsqu\u2019un citoyen ou une citoyenne entend les termes g\u00e9othermie et B\u00e2le, il ou elle pense probablement \u00e0 un tremblement de terre. Comment faire pour que la population accepte le projet? Ou est-ce d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait?
\n<\/strong>Lors du premier forage en 1988, la population de Riehen n\u2019associait pas encore l\u2019utilisation de la g\u00e9othermie avec les tremblements de terre, mais plut\u00f4t \u00e0 des sensations agr\u00e9ables dans les bains termaux proches. Lors de la recherche d\u2019une \u00e9nergie alternative et respectueuse de l\u2019environnement, une commission a \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9e, qui englobait des membres du Parlement communal dans le projet en tant que repr\u00e9sentants de la population. Pour la cr\u00e9ation de l\u2019acceptation n\u00e9cessaire pour \u00abgeo2riehen\u00bb, nous pouvons faire r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux bonnes exp\u00e9riences que nous avons eues avec la g\u00e9othermie \u00e0 Riehen au cours des 25 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Dans le cadre des travaux de relations publiques, nous clarifions aussi les grandes diff\u00e9rences entre la m\u00e9thodologie \u00e0 B\u00e2le et \u00e0 Riehen.<\/p>\n

Pourquoi la commune de Riehen peut-elle s\u2019enorgueillir d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u2019une longue tradition en termes de g\u00e9othermie? La population de Riehen fonctionne-t-elle autrement que le reste de la Suisse?
\n<\/strong>D\u00e9j\u00e0 au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 80, le Conseil communal de Riehen a exig\u00e9, entre autres, dans une charte \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique que les \u00e9missions de polluants atmosph\u00e9riques devaient \u00eatre minimis\u00e9es dans les technologies destin\u00e9es \u00e0 produire de la chaleur. En collaboration avec le Dr Lukas Hauber, ancien g\u00e9ologue cantonal et lui-m\u00eame citoyen de Riehen, les politiciens du village ont pu enthousiasmer la population pour la g\u00e9othermie et ont re\u00e7u son soutien pour la r\u00e9alisation du r\u00e9seau de chaleur de Riehen au moyen de la g\u00e9othermie. Il y a plus de 30 ans, les habitantes et habitants de Riehen, \u00e9taient certainement plus soucieux de l\u2019environnement que le grand reste de la Suisse. C\u2019est pourquoi je peux donner \u00e0 juste titre \u00e0 Riehen le nom compl\u00e9mentaire ambigu de \u00abgrand village vert\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Du fait de cette longue tradition en mati\u00e8re de g\u00e9othermie, un travail de persuasion est-il ou a-t-il \u00e9t\u00e9 v\u00e9ritablement n\u00e9cessaire au niveau politique?
\n<\/strong>M\u00eame si Riehen 1 a \u00e9t\u00e9 un succ\u00e8s et fonctionne sans probl\u00e8mes depuis bient\u00f4t 25 ans, on ne peut pas partir du principe qu\u2019un autre forage se d\u00e9roulera aussi sans encombres. Par cons\u00e9quent, il est naturel qu\u2019il y ait aussi des voix critiques au niveau politique. Pour \u00abgeo2riehen\u00bb aussi, une bonne communication avec des informations compl\u00e8tes pour les milieux politiques et la population est extr\u00eamement importante.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 votre avis, quelles sont les conditions pr\u00e9alables requises pour qu\u2019une commune puisse r\u00e9aliser un projet g\u00e9othermique avec succ\u00e8s?
\n<\/strong>La base pour une mise en \u0153uvre r\u00e9ussie est l\u2019\u00e9laboration soigneuse des conditions pr\u00e9alables techniques, financi\u00e8res et juridiques. L\u2019implication syst\u00e9matique, cibl\u00e9e et en temps utile de toutes les parties prenantes pertinentes rev\u00eat aussi une importance fondamentale pour la bonne r\u00e9ussite de notre projet g\u00e9othermique. Le projet pr\u00e9vu est primordial pour Riehen. Cependant, cela ne concerne pas seulement la commune et sa population, mais aussi de nombreux acteurs, dont le r\u00f4le, les pr\u00e9occupations et les besoins doivent \u00eatre \u00e9galement pris en compte. Par cons\u00e9quent, nous nous effor\u00e7ons d\u2019assurer une communication \u00e9tendue et cr\u00e9dible \u00e0 chaque \u00e9tape du projet, afin que le dialogue n\u00e9cessaire et important soit toujours de nouveau possible.<\/p>\n
